Started 4 years for Montini High
School's Varsity Baseball team that won at least 30 games in each of
the 4 years; was the first Freshman to start on the varsity level in
the 30 year history of Montini Baseball. Was named first team
all-conference Sophomore, Junior, and Senior Years; Chicago Sun
Times First Team All-Area Junior and Senior Years; First Team
All-State Senior Year; Led the 2002 Montini Baseball team to it's
first ever State Tournament appearance (third place finish); was
named to the IHSA State All Tournament Team (6 for 11; HR, 2
Triples, 8 RBI) in addition to being named First Team All-State.
Set numerous Offensive Records at Montini; including Career doubles,
stolen bases, and sacrifice flies; Still ranks in the top 10 all
time at Montini in Career hits, runs, RBI, and Single Season Batting
Average, Walks, Steals, and Doubles.
College
Started at Shortstop/2nd base 4 years for Lewis University 2004-2007
and was voted captain by coaches and teammates Sophomore, Junior,
and Senior Seasons despite 4 injury riddled seasons. Led the
team in Homeruns, extra base hits, stolen bases, slugging
percentage, and RBI in 2005 despite only playing 35 out of 56 games
due to a broken hand. 2006 season was shortened due to a knee
injury. 2007 season was shortened due to a torn labrum.
Played for with
upper deck cougars between the years of
1998 and 2003.
Won the 2002 CABA National Title; was named to
the all tournament team and was awarded the Gold Glove given to the
tournament's most outstanding defensive player.
